We are pleased to announce that Jonas Reif Jørgensen has joined the Fairytale Abuse lineup. As a gifted musician with a playing style dead-on, we welcome Jonas to the band and look forward to working with him.

We are sorry to inform that long-time member Dea Lillelund is no longer a part of Fairytale Abuse.
Dea has been a dedicated member and big contribution to the band for many years. However we have decided to go separate ways, and we wish her the best of luck.

The Spirit Tower is now also available on CDON.com for sale throughout Europe. Because of tax and customs issues, our Web Shop will not be available to non-Danish visitors for now, but CDON will provide easy access to our debut album in Europe. Outside of Europe it's available from our label HateWorks and their distributors. Ask around in your local shops.

Please note that the previously announced gig at Sonderborghus at May 6th has been cancelled by the venue. We will return to Sonderborg in the fall .

It is a pleasure to inform that The Spirit Tower has been sent to various distributors and is currently heading for the shelves. Its arrival in record stores around the world is in the hands of our label and distributors.

Release Party for The Spirit Tower!
Friday the 27th of January our debut album will be released at a show at Musikcafeen, Aarhus. We have a limited 50 copies for sale at this event so don't be late. More info about the event here
Columbian label HateWorks will release the album for worldwide distribution Feb-March 2006. We thank everyone for your patience during the many delays.

We have signed a contract with Japanese label World Chaos production for the release of The Spirit Tower album in 2005. More details coming up.

We have important news:

• Drummer Allan Rasmussen has decided to leave the band for various reasons. He has been drummer since 1999 and appeared on Catharsis as well as The Spirit Tower. We wish him all the best in the future. He will always be a friend of the band.
• We are looking for a new drummer. [Update: Not anymore. Troels Nissen has joined.]
• Catharsis Special Edition CD's are now available for purchase. See discography for information on how to buy. The CD's are also available at our shows.
• The show in Aarhus on May 13th will be Allan's last performance with Fairytale Abuse. Don't miss this opportunity to say a proper goodbye.

Thanx to everybody for their support at the Fee Metal Grand Prix. It was a great show and we'd like to thank Fee Metal for the initiative. Tajs Kolman took some cool photos. There are more gigs around Denmark coming up soon.

We get a lot of requests for our cd's. While this is great, we unfortunately still can't send out the new album. It would simply be impossible to get signed if the album was already out. BUT we're just about to print new Catharsis cd's. They will be available at our shows and also by mail. Stay tuned for updates on this.

We are in the final stage of mastering our material and we expect to ship the cd's in the coming weeks - this stage however is only thought for reviews and labels. The sooner we get responses from them the sooner we´ll be able to get the cd's out to you guys, so stay tuned! The website is beeing redesigned at the moment and we hope to have a new and better looking site available to you within very short time. New pictures, easier navigation and more details about the new album are some of the features included. Thanks to all that have signed up for our newsletter - you guys will get more and detailed updates soon.

It has been a while since last update - sorry about that folks! BUT: there´s a lot to tell:
- Per Gabers (bass) decided to leave the band for personal reasons after many excellent years in Fairytale Abuse. He is a great guy and we wish him the best of luck in the future...
- John Rene Lauritzen joined us with his 6 strings motherf.. killer bass last Sunday - and it just went great. Read more about him in the member section wich will be updated shortly.
- Upcoming shows has been set to the end of July when the recordings of The Spirit Tower has ended.
- The Spirit Tower, Fairytale Abuse´s first full-length album has made it's final delay. The recording date is set and will start the 5th of July and last for two weeks taking place in 'Unusual Waves Studio'. The album will consist of 8 tracks varying from the darkest, the most brutal and to the very melodic and groovy metal riffs. Quite an effort has been put into making theese songs as well as the lyrics wich through out the album tells the sad tale of Sindarilla - A young girl cought in a world between life and death.....and what is beyond...
- Stay dark and keep an eye on our site.

Lead vocalist Simon Pedersen will be leaving for Durban, South Africa the next 6 months to complete a part of his education. Meanwhile Morten Odgaard will be the contact person for the band. You can contact him at morten@fairytale-abuse.com. Fairytale Abuse will not be in a stand still while Simon is away. Bent Jensen will do the growling and the band will prepare new songs for an upcoming album.

Succesful word of God/word of mouth tour! We returned home the 15th of august, tired and happy. We played 8 shows in connecticut, Rhode Island and Wisconsin and recieved great responsed. Special thanks to Tom Cosgrove and family, Randy blake, Jim and Josh from Roaar, Flatlined and Acetylene for a great time! We are looking into doing contract with Rooar at the moment, and hoping to do buisness with the Danish booking company Scanmusic. Hopefully we'll get many gigs going this autumn. We are more ready than ever. The recordings of "The Spirit tower" will wait a little. But keep your eyes on this page to be updated. Anyone interested in joining the Fairytale Abuse mailing list should write Simon with subject "Mailing list" and you'll get monthly updates.

The future looks bright! We are hoping to do the recordings of our debut album "The Spirit Tower" when we meet up with the guys from Roaar records at the beginnning of our visit in the US. This is an awesome oportunity for Fairytale Abuse. We´ll celebrate this with a huge "take off" party in our hometown, Sonderborg. When we get back from the states in August we are planned to play gigs in Norway, Sweden and Germany through the Danish booking company "Scan Music".

We have been promised a record deal from the new established American label, Roaar Records. The details about the deal have not been publiced yet, but Fairytale Abuse is one of five bands that are to be signed by them this year.
